Position Overview


Hometime is growing fast, and expected to grow even faster. Our Engineering Team has more than tripled within the last year. We aim to deliver a world class product with the best people in the industry.


We're searching for a Senior React Engineer to contribute towards building the cool tools we want to provide to our customers. You'll be expected to be an expert of the React framework, and a master in Javascript. You must be equally comfortable working independently, and collaborating with a bigger team. You must be passionate about building valuable products for our customers.



Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical solutions to support Hometime’s business operations.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders throughout the entire organization in gathering requirements, specifications, and use cases for designated projects.
  • Lead projects and initiatives with different and competing timelines and requirements.
  • Work with limited direction in a fluid environment while exceeding delivery expectations and service level.
  • Ongoing maintenance of the existing and future platform.
  • Perform peer code review, and contribute in constantly improving the development process.
  • Foster a transparent and collaborative environment within the development team and throughout the entire organization.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • 5+ years as a JS developer with a minimum of 3 years focused in React.
  • Exceptional Javascript fundamentals.
  • Experience with creating applications using React and its ecosystem.
  • Integrating REST API.
  • Familiar with Agile methodology.
  • Shout out if you have any experience in the following which is definitely a plus:
    • Next.js
    • React Hooks
    • Context API
    • Unit testing tools such as Mocha, Jest, Enzyme
    • Rails or any MVC backend
